Project Details
The Green Asia Tank Storage Site, in the Thilawa Special Economic Zone, is located 20km southeast of Yangon, the capital of Myanmar.
Unique Standard was employed to apply the Steelcoat™ Tank Base Protection System to all 6 tanks at the site. Four of the tanks are 31m in diameter and contain Gasoline whilst the two remaining tanks are 44m in diameter and contain Diesel.
Unique Standard first repaired the concrete ring around the base of the tank prior to applying the system. A Premier Coatings Ltd representative was on-site for the first 5 days of the installation to offer training and technical support.
Green Asia was very impressed with the finish of the system and is now in discussion with Premier Coatings Ltd and Unique Standard for solutions to their other corrosion problems.
